In this podcast episode, I interview Nutritional Coach Liberty Mills and we talk about all thing’s food-related. Liberty healed herself from a chronic disease and is now devoted to helping others use food as medicine.
We cover the spectrum of nutritional health from good fats, eating for menopause, de-mystifying supplementation, balancing acidity and the gut microbiome.
When Liberty and I get together and talk about our united passions, we agree that keeping our nervous system balanced is critical. This can be done with nourishing sleep, expressing our emotions through journaling, breathing well, being in the present moment and being out in nature - all of which is reinforced by the benefits of a good diet.
It was music to my ears when I heard Liberty say “listen to your body”. We conclude that as well as understanding our own unique body type, we need to question long-established science and read new science coming from peer-reviewed journals.
Underneath the intention to eat healthily is the desire to feel good. When we feel good, we eat well and when we eat well, we feel good.
