Yoga is not just what you practice on the mat

How do we weave the insights and enlightened moments we experience in yoga into our daily lives?

When we move the body and activate the breath we are engaged in a practice of self-enquiry that evolves and never ends. The number of times my students say ‘this journey just gets better’. And it does.

The more we come to understand about ourselves, the more we want to understand and when we see our energy and our lives evolve we become more invested in doing the work.

What is transformational yoga?

Transformational yoga goes way beyond a physical practice. It is a journey of deep self-enquiry. When we unite the mind, body and breath on the mat we are signalling our intention to go within. Conscious introspection allows us to evolve holistically. We get physically fitter, stronger and more flexible and we also become mentally and emotionally stronger. We begin to inhabit a flexible mind that liberates us us from cognitive rigidity, we experience emotion balance and the ability to bounce back from adversity quickly. Our energy currency is supercharged allowing us to show up in all domains of our lives with presence

Doing the real work is choosing to integrate what we experience and learn on the mat into our day to lives. This is when the magic happens; we see the beauty in the mundane, we shine a light in our daily interactions and become a torch bearer for others trying to find their way.

If we choose, we can activate our inner mystic; our sacred superpower that we’ve spent all our lives searching for in the external world, only to discover it was inside us all along.
