Time conserving, high performance tools for transformation
Small shifts big benefits
The tools that lead to the greatest transformation are never the easiest to make a habit but so worth the effort. Journaling and meditation are both techniques that can feel hard to begin with.
The reason we resist these tools of self enquiry is that they feel uncomfortable challenging to begin with. But like anything, they get easier with practice. Over time they lead to positive changes.
So if you feel there's room for expansion in your life then maybe its time to embed these tools and watch yourself grow.
Why journal?
Organise your thoughts, reduce mental chatter, alleviate anxiety, cultivate clarity and express emotions in writing. This has profound positives effects on our mental health.
The impact of journaling is correlated with an expansive perspective, not just our personal stories but the perspectives of others. Research has proven the benefits of this self help tool repeatedly. Like meditation and especially in conjunction with it, we can become masters of our minds and creators of our lives. We are capitalising on our brains neuroplasticity and over time these practices allow us to become our best selves.
When we begin with a blank page is feels very overwhelming so we can make this easier for ourselves with journaling prompts and from October this will be part of the daily mind gym. Every week the mind gym sessions will be accompanied by a journaling prompt, designed to begin or continue on the journey of greater self awareness.
Why meditate?
Improve your sleep (and wake up feeling refreshed).
Hit “flow state” more easily to ramp up your productivity. Get things done faster and with better results. Get the right and left hemispheres of your brain operating in unison allowing life to flow with ease.
Strengthen immunity & reverse your “biological age”. Telomeres are the casings at the end of your DNA to prevent them from unravelling. Amazingly, meditation can also help to lengthen your telomeres and protect your DNA -- leading to reversing your body age by 8 years! Also when you aren’t in chronic fight or flight your immune system can function as it was designed.
Decreases anxiety and depression. Since meditation is shown to flood your body with dopamine and serotonin - which helps reduce the symptoms of depression and anxiety.
Become a better leader. According to Harvard Business Review, meditation helps you make better, more strategic decisions — plus it increases emotional intelligence.
Make fewer mistakes. Our fight or flight response was designed for predator attacks -- not kids, in-laws or six zoom meetings in a day. Stop launching into fight or flight and gain back the executive function of your brain so you can start making better decisions.
Not to mention, meditation also helps with migraines, low libido, infertility, adrenal fatigue, IBS, and regulating hormones.
Keep it simple!
